Low Friction
Friction Force
We conducted friction tests on 10 samples each of GUMMTAL Wire and Ti-Mo Wire to evaluate their performance.
Ti-Mo wire has greater static friction, and the force value of kinetic friction increased gradually until 2mm displacement.
GUMMTAL Wire showed almost the same levels of friction in both static and kinetic states, and it was approximately half that of Ti-Mo wire. The friction values were more consistent.
Smoother surface of GUMMETAL compared to Ti-Mo wire could contribute to its lower friction levels. The sharper edges of GUMMETAL imply better torque control, which could be beneficial in applications requiring precise manipulation or handling
